Golf Wedges
Golf wedges are an essential piece of golfing equipment and your golf bag should contain at least one golf wedge. Most people carry a pitch golf wedge and a sand golf wedge but there are others too; lob golf wedge, utility golf wedge and gap golf wedge. Golf wedges are used to get the user out of hazards such as a bunker or rough grass. They are designed to get under the ball and give height when struck to clear the obstruction.
The loft of the golf wedges ranges from 48 degrees to 60 degrees and different bounce factors can be added to the specification of the golf wedges.
Golf wedges are made with different metal heads and have a choice of finishes from chrome satin to gun metal or matt black. Golf wedges are more commonly used with a steel shaft but some golfers; Ladies or Senior players prefer golf wedges with a graphite shaft, these are usually custom built golf wedges available on request.
