To carry or not to carry, that is the question?
Golf Trolleys have never been so popular; back problems, age, speed, these are all factors for golf trolley users. But are we ruining our greens in the process? Some courses are known to ban electric golf trolleys when it’s too wet under foot, it’s always best to check whether powered golf trolleys or manual golf trolleys are allowed for use on your course.
It’s not just the older generation either who rely on these work horses, youngsters often need them because they’re just not strong enough to carry all the kit and caboodle involved in the gentlemanly game of golf. Or for the clock watchers whose time is an issue just set the dial and the electric golf trolley practically drives itself to the location you require.
Golf trolleys come in many guises, from high tech super lightweight with equally modern lithium batteries down to basic folding metal framed manual golf trolleys. The choice is yours; however your purse may ultimately decide for you, electric golf carts aren’t cheap. Spend wisely the cheapest isn’t necessarily the best buy, brands which offer good warranty on frame and parts and even registered service centres are sensible choices. Golf trolleys are for some a luxury, for others a necessity, but for a few they are another status symbol, very much like their executive cars. Love them or hate them, golf trolleys are here to stay, well at least until the hover golf trolley is invented! |
